Wynonna Judd and Ashley Judd reportedly have different ways of coping after their mom Naomi Judd’s death.
In its Feb. 6 issue, Star claimed that Wynonna remembers her late mother through music and singing.
Just recently, she performed Naomi’s track “River of Time,” which was written by the late singer before she passed away.
“It was very painful for Wynonna to know her mother wrote down those spiteful words before she shot herself. That those mean thoughts were in her mind before she took her last breath,” the source said.
The source also said that Ashley was heartbroken at the sight of Wynonna going through the pain of singing their late mother’s song. But she couldn’t do anything for her sister.
What’s worse was that when Naomi was still alive, she allegedly had a falling out with Wynonna. After all, the singer became increasingly paranoid and she also thought that Wynonna was out to get her.
“Naomi was sick and didn’t trust anyone. She thought Wynonna was one of the bad people out to use her,” the source said.
Before her death, Naomi and Wynonna were scheduled to perform together for their fans. But the former didn’t allegedly want to push through with their concert and felt that Wynonna was just pushing her.
“Her anxiety grew and so did her distrust for Wynonna. It broke Wynonna’s heart to hear such things. Wynonna is more hurt than resentful. She and Naomi were so close for so many years. They were both stubborn and fought along the way, as mothers and daughters do, but there was so much love,” the source said.
While it is true that Wynonna and Ashley are still learning how to cope with Naomi’s death, it’s not true that their mom ever thought ill of her daughters. All these claims were just made up by the tabloid to make it seem as though there were tensions between the trio before the singer died.
However, it is important to note that the Judds have always been united not just when Naomi was still alive but also in their grief.
For now, Wynonna and Ashley are doing their part in making sure that their mom’s legacy would live on. They are also remembering Naomi during their interviews and other performances.
