Prince Harry has been promoting his book Spare by appearing in interviews both in the United States and in the United Kingdom.
Last week, he spoke with Anderson Cooper for 60 Minutes to shed light on his relationship with Prince William and King Charles, as well as to defend his wife, Meghan Markle.
For many years, there have been claims that Markle was the reason behind Prince William and Prince Harry’s feud. After all, the brothers seemingly became estranged after the latter wed Markle. But according to the Duke of Sussex, this wasn’t the case.
During his conversation with Cooper, Prince Harry explained why he decided to drop bombshells about Prince William. He said that he wanted the world to know that the brothers were never really close, to begin with. So, their rift didn’t have anything to do with Markle.
“You know, my brother and I love each other. I love him deeply. There has been a lot of pain between the two of us, especially over the last six years. None of anything I’ve written, anything that I’ve included is ever intended to hurt my family. But it does give a full picture of the situation as we were growing up, and also squashes this idea that somehow my wife was the one that destroyed the relationship between these two brothers,” Prince Harry explained (via Cheat Sheet).
Meanwhile, body language expert Judi James told Express that Prince Harry showed glimpses of empathy toward Prince William during his interview with Cooper.
While talking about their childhood, James said that Prince Harry engaged in body language rituals such as having a boyish grin, raising his hands to mesh them before pulling them apart, and more.
All these signs reportedly indicate that Prince Harry still has so much love for Prince William despite everything that happened to them.
In Spare, Prince Harry detailed an altercation between him and Prince William, where the latter reportedly pushed him to the ground causing him to end up on the dog’s bowl.
After their altercation, Prince Harry claimed that Prince William left his apartment after he asked him not to tell Markle about what just happened. The Prince of Wales also denied ever attacking his younger brother.
