Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently made an outing following their return to New York City.
People said the former working royals had a glamorous night as they stepped out to receive an honor for their work on Tuesday. As noted, they attended the Robert F. Kennedy Ripple of Hope Award Gala, where they were some of the evening’s honorees.
The magazine noted in its report, published Tuesday, that the Duchess of Sussex donned a white off-the-shoulder dress with long sleeves for the event. She is also said to have completed the ensemble with black accessories and a low-bun hairdo.
As for the Duke of Sussex, he wore a classic suit and black tie for the night, as per the publication.
Upon arrival at the venue, Entertainment Tonight said Prince Harry held an umbrella to shield Meghan Markle from the rain as they made their way from the car to the event’s blue carpet.
It is also noted that the former working royals held hands as they walked the carpet before heading inside for the gala.
But, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not reportedly stop for interviews at the venue. Even so, it is said that they posed for photos with Kerry Kennedy on the carpet.
Reports recalled that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry arrived in New York City over the weekend.
ET shared elsewhere in its report, published Tuesday, that the former working royals touched down at JFK airport via private jet. It added that the pair were also seen with their airport style upon landing before getting into an SUV.
The public first learned about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s award earlier in October.
Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights organization announced at the time that the couple was named as some of this year’s Ripple of Hope Award laureates “for their work on racial justice, mental health, and other social impact initiatives through their Archewell Foundation.”
Kerry Kennedy, the president of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, also stated that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle “embody the type of moral courage that my father once called the ‘one essential, vital quality for those who seek to change a world that yields most painfully to change,’” according to the press release.
Meanwhile, Tuesday’s outing comes ahead of the premiere of the highly anticipated documentary series of the former working royals.
Carrying the title, “Harry & Meghan,” the first part of the six-episode material will drop on Netflix on December 8. The second volume will follow on December 15.
