Catherine Zeta-Jones is enjoying her life as a wife to Michael Douglas and mother to their children.
The 53-year-old actress shared an insight into her family during an exchange with People at the premiere of “National Treasure: Edge of History” in Hollywood on Monday. As noted, she hit the red carpet with her son, whom she shares with her husband of 22 years.
Speaking to the magazine about her date for the night, Zeta-Jones said she enjoys “every minute” with her eldest child, adding that he is “a good son” and “it’s just the best.”
She further pressed on the matter and about her family, telling the publication that “each year gets better and better and with such good friends” for them, “which is great.”
For the event, Catherine Zeta-Jones donned a head-turner Elie Saab piece, which is a plunging purple sequin-covered gown, according to the Daily Mail.
The publication also noted in its report, published Tuesday, that the “Mask of Zorro” actress looked incredible in her ensemble, which had long sleeves, vertical slits, and a long, draping piece of fabric adorning her shoulders.
Zeta-Jones is also said to have posed for photos with her first-born son, who donned a brown suit, at the premiere.
Monday’s event comes nearly a month after Catherine Zeta-Jones attended the premiere of her new Addams Family series, “Wednesday.” She also brought her eldest son as her date for the outing.
At the time, the “Entrapment” actress told People that her husband, Michael Douglas, was “very happy that this is my date,” adding that their son is a “collaboration between the two of us, the gift that keeps on giving.”
Zeta-Jones also shared some insight into her “very close relationship” with her two children in the engagement. She said, “Both my daughter and Dylan have been so incredibly supportive to me, not just as an actor, but just me, you know.”
Elsewhere in the exchange with the magazine, published Tuesday, the “No Reservations” star talked about her and her family’s plans for the holidays. She stated that Michael Douglas was recently working in Europe, although she pointed out that they will be “all together” for the season.
The actress also noted that having their “little nucleus back together is always the best.”
Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas share two children in their now-22 years of marriage. They welcomed their eldest child in mid-2000 and had their youngest in 2003.
The two celebrities tied the knot in November 2000, more than two years after they first met.
