Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have touched down in New York.
E! News reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were seen and photographed upon arrival in the city over the weekend. As noted, their trip comes ahead of the 2022 Ripple Of Hope Award Gala, which will be on December 6.
In its recent report, which featured a photo of the pair from the sighting, the publication shared some details about the looks the former working royals donned for the trip to the Big Apple. It said that the “Suits” alum wore a black dress and accessorized the ensemble with dark sunglasses, while the royal-born Prince appeared lowkey in his white button-down and black trousers.
Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights announced in October that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would receive the Ripple of Hope Award for their work in racial justice, mental health, and other social impact action through their Archewell Foundation, according to People.
The magazine noted in its report, published in November, that the former working royals were expected to attend the awarding ceremony, with Alec Baldwin serving as the emcee of the event.
It also recalled that the previous recipients of the award include President Joe Biden, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Colin Kaepernick, former U.S. President Barack Obama, and Nancy Pelosi.
The flight to New York comes days after Netflix dropped the teaser materials for the highly anticipated documentary series of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle titled “Harry & Meghan.”
On December 2, the streaming platform released the first-ever look at the docuseries with a teaser clip that features several romantic photos of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Netflix then dropped the official trailer for “Harry & Meghan” on Monday, with the material revealing that the docuseries will premiere on the streaming platform in two parts.
The first volume will become available for streaming starting on December 8, while the second volume will drop on the platform on December 15.
Meanwhile, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s arrival in New York comes days after Prince William and Kate Middleton had their first trip to the United States in eight years.
Harper’s Bazaar said the Prince of Wales expressed his enthusiasm about the tour in a statement shortly after arriving in Boston, stating that he and the Princess of Wales were “delighted” in their return to the country.
The royal couple spent most of their three-day tour meeting individuals and visiting communities and organizations across the city. They also hosted this year’s Earthshot Prize Awards on the last day of their trip.
