Kate Middleton and Prince William had a series of engagements on their second day in the United States. Reports noted how the royal couple continued their tour in Boston on the same day Netflix released the official teaser for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s upcoming docuseries, “Harry & Meghan.”
Entertainment Tonight recalled that the Prince and Princess of Wales are utilizing their Boston trip to learn about the state capital’s environmental challenges and meet individuals and communities that move to work on solutions. It marks the pair’s first return to the country since they last visited when they went to New York in 2014.
On Thursday, one of the engagements Prince William and Kate Middleton had was with the non-profit organization, Roca. Fans are said to have greeted the royal couple upon arrival, with some even giving gifts to them, including from one individual who dressed as Uncle Sam and held a sign welcoming them to “New England.”
The outlet continued that the Prince and Princess of Wales also went to Somerville to visit the Greentown Labs to learn more about climate innovations. As stated, they had a tender moment during the trip as they met a young boy who dressed as a royal guard, adding that the royal-born Prince shook hands with him while his wife accepted a bouquet of roses from him.
As the tour continued for Kate Middleton and Prince William ahead of the second annual Earthshot Prize Awards Ceremony, which will occur on Friday, ET noted that Netflix dropped the official teaser for “Harry & Meghan” docuseries on the same day.
The emergence of the teaser across media platforms has since made headlines, with reports claiming Prince Harry and Meghan Markle face backlash due to the timing of the release.
The more-than-a-minute-long teaser features several romantic photos of the former working royals. It also shows snippets of clips from their interviews, and at one point, with them, looking visibly emotional, according to Variety.
The publication said in a report, published Thursday, that “Harry & Meghan” promises to provide an intimate account of the couple’s courtship and look at their time as working members of the British Royal Family. It also noted that an announcement for the release date has yet to emerge, but the teaser says it is “coming soon” on Netflix.
Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate Middleton are gearing up for their last day of the schedule. Aside from the Earthshot Prize awards, they are also set to make a few more other visits on Friday, according to People.
The magazine shared in a report, published Sunday, that the Princess of Wales will make a solo trip to the Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University. As for the Prince of Wales, he is said to tour the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum on the same day.
