More than ten years have passed since Jim Parsons and Kaley Cuoco last worked together on “The Big Bang Theory.” But, the bond and closeness between them seemingly remain, with the series lead star recently praising his former co-star ahead of the arrival of her first child.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the 49-year-old actor stated that Cuoco is “gonna be incredible” as a mother. This came after he was asked about his thoughts on the actress’s pregnancy during the exchange Tuesday at the New York premiere of his new and upcoming film, "Spoiler Alert."
Parsons continued in the engagement that the 37-year-old celebrity was “a mother-like figure” to him “for many years on ‘Big Bang.’” He noted that this is despite him being “tremendously” older than his co-star.
The interviewer subsequently asked the “Hidden Figures” actor how Kaley Cuoco would mother him. This led the actor to state that his former co-star was a “comforting presence,” adding that “it was a pleasure to work with her day in and day out.”
Jim Parsons also shared that the “Meet Cute” star is a “very warm person.”
He later concluded the subject by asserting that Cuoco’s child “is lucky to have her for a mother.”
Kaley Cuoco announced her first pregnancy with Tom Pelphrey earlier in October. She shared the news on Instagram, where she posted a series of photos, revealing her pregnancy tests, matching onesies and mugs, and a cake with pink frosting.
The “Flight Attendant” star captioned the post, writing, “Baby girl Pelphrey coming 2023.” She also revealed in the same social media update that she was “beyond blessed and over the moon” before tagging her partner.
Tom Pelphrey and Kaley Cuoco made their romance public after sharing sweet photos on the same platform earlier in May.
Elsewhere in the exchange with ET, published Tuesday, Jim Parsons looked back on his time on “The Big Bang Theory” and stated that the experience “was heaven.”
The “Young Sheldon” executive producer continued that “it was the kind of experience I cannot overstate how impactful and positive it was for me.” He added, “The feeling of thankfulness and gratitude in [my] heart for the whole thing, it’s almost overwhelming.”
Jim Parsons and Kaley Cuoco starred as Sheldon Cooper and Penny on “The Big Bang Theory.” They worked together on the series for more than ten years, with the show running for 12 seasons from 2007 to 2019 on CBS.
