Jennifer Lopez wants everyone to know that true love exists. This comes as she seemingly goes full circle with her music and love life.
Entertainment Tonight said that the 53-year-old celebrity shared some of her thoughts about her new and upcoming album, “This Is Me…Now,” during a recent interview with Zane Lowe on “Apple Music 1.” As noted, she also talked about her relationship with Ben Affleck, with whom she tied the knot this year, and how the rekindling of their romance helped her with her music.
In the exchange, Lopez is said to have revealed that the breakup with the “Argo” star nearly two decades ago “was the biggest heartbreak of my life.” She also recalled how “painful” it was for her, adding that she would not even perform the tracks on her third studio album, “This Is Me…Then,” which she worked on during the first time she and her now-husband got together, as per the outlet.
The “Maid In Manhattan” actress also reportedly shared that the split with Ben Affleck caused struggles in her music, with the outlet quoting her from the interview, saying, “So I didn't make music in that way that I did in 2002 until now... It set me on a spiral for the next 18 years where I just couldn't get it right...”
But, things have changed since Jennifer Lopez and the DCEU actor rekindled their romance earlier in 2021. She is said to have even noted that “it does have a happy ending,” adding that “it has the most, would never happen in Hollywood ending.”
The songstress also stated that she “felt so inspired” and “overtaken with emotion,” causing music to pour out of her reportedly following the reunion with Affleck.
Elsewhere in the interview, Lopez wanted to let everyone know how she feels about love.
ET, in its report published Monday, quoted the “On The Floor” singer, asserting, “True love does exist and some things do last forever. And that's real. I want to put that message out to the world.”
It continues, “That does take a lot of vulnerability, but I couldn't stop myself. Parts of it scare me and I think parts of it scare Ben too. He's like, 'Do you really want to say all this stuff?' And I'm like, 'I don't know how else to do it, baby.'”
Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez surprised her fans and followers when she revealed her new and upcoming album, “This Is Me…Now,” on Friday. She made the announcement on Instagram on the exact day of the 20th anniversary of “This Is Me…Then.”
