There is no clarity on the number of employees of the Nets who have undergone the test for this virus. It is also not clear how they could procure such tests as the health officials in the United States have been struggling to get those tests done for the common public.
.The franchise further said that three of their infected players had no visible symptoms of the coronavirus. The spokesperson, however, refrained from disclosing details about how the team managed to get the tests done.
The question of the access to the virus testing had also popped up previously after some reports came in about 58 members of the Utah Jazz team undergoing the tests. Incidentally, the franchise conducted the test for its players after its player Rudy Gobert tested positive.
Mike Bass, who is the spokesman for the National Basketball Association indicated that players could have been given preference for testing. It could be so because of their frequent travel schedule and chances of close proximity to large groups in various cities.
On March 11, the NBA decided to postpone its season after they got the news of Gobert testing positive for coronavirus. Players such as Donovan Mitchell of the Jazz and Christian Wood of the Pistons have also tested positive some days ago apart from Kevin Durant and Rudy Gobert.
