Queen Consort Camilla allegedly made sure that Kate Middleton wouldn’t upstage her at the recent state banquet.
New Idea, in its Dec. 5 issue, claimed that Queen Consort Camilla did everything that she could to make sure that she would be the star of the event even though Middleton was right by her side.
“Camilla’s helped herself to the best of Elizabeth’s jewels and other possessions, most of which have passed onto Charles. Anything Camilla sees and wants to grab for herself, she does,” the source said.
The source also claimed that Middleton wanted to wear the sapphire jewelry for herself, but she knew that she didn’t stand a chance with Queen Consort Camilla.
“For Kate, she wanted to wear the new tiara to feel close to Elizabeth, not because she wanted to upstage anyone. Kate shed a few tears but then she moved on. She’s always been very popular and glamorous and unfortunately, that’s difficult for some other women in the family to take,” the source said.
The source added that Middleton didn’t want to cause any problems that night because she knew that it would badly affect her husband, Prince William. So, she just stood her ground and pretended that everything was fine with her.
“At the end of the day, she doesn’t want to rock the boat and make things harder for Prince William, who had enough drama to last a lifetime. Kate doesn’t need a new crown to look amazing and she knows it. She could show up in a potato sack and still outshine every woman in the room, regardless,” the source said.
While it is true that Middleton did not wear the new tiara at the state banquet, it’s not true that she had an issue with Queen Consort Camilla wearing it.
Since Queen Consort Camilla is married to King Charles, she was the one who was given the new tiara. When the time comes that Prince William is crowned as king, the new tiara will most likely be passed on to Middleton.
It’s not also true that Queen Consort Camilla did everything that she could to make sure that Middleton wouldn’t upstage her. After all, Middleton did not try to upstage her in the first place and there’s no reason for her to do so.
