The tributes and reactions over Aaron Carter’s death continue to surface following the news of his passing. Some of the most recent ones are from the celebrity’s siblings, including the Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter.
On Instagram, the 42-year-old artist shared a series of photos showing himself and his brother over the years. He also penned a lengthy caption wherein he admitted to having a broken heart upon learning about the tragic news.
Carter began, “My heart has been broken today. Even though my brother and I have had a complicated relationship, my love for him has never ever faded.”
The vocal group member continued that he has “always held onto the hope that” the “I Want Candy” singer “would somehow, someday want to walk a healthy path and eventually find the help that he so desperately needed.”
Nick Carter added that people sometimes “want to blame someone or something for a loss.” He argued, however, that “addiction and mental illness is the real villain.”
In the end, the Backstreet Boys member shared that he would miss Aaron Carter “more than anyone will ever know.” He also wrote, “I love you Chizz., now you get a chance to finally have some peace you could never find here on earth.”
Carter ended his post with, “God, Please take care of my baby brother.”
Us Weekly, in its report covering the social media post, recalled that Nick Carter and Aaron Carter had a troubled relationship in recent years. It noted that the former, alongside their sister Angel Carter Conrad, got a restraining order against the latter in 2019.
The “Backstreet’s Back” artist is said to have alleged that his brother had made threats to his wife and their children.
The publication continued that following the move, the “I’m All About You” singer confirmed the matter on his social media posts. As noted, though, he denied the allegations made by Nick Carter against him, saying he was “astounded” and did not “wish harm to anyone, especially my family.”
Meanwhile, Angel Carter Conrad has also broken her silence following the passing of Aaron Carter.
E! News reported that the singer’s sibling, a twin sister, took her thoughts to Instagram. She shared a series of photos featuring the two of them from their childhood years.
The publication quoted Carter Conrad from the caption, writing, “To my twin… I loved you beyond measure. You will be missed dearly.”
It continues, “My funny, sweet Aaron, I have so many memories of you and I, and I promise to cherish them."
Carter’s twin sibling ended the post with, "I know you're at peace now. I will carry you with me until the day I die and get to see you again."
