Blake Shelton just announced his decision to quit The Voice after several seasons.
The country artist did not exactly reveal why he decided to quit the program, but Life & Style claimed to know the reason behind his decision.
A source told the tabloid that Shelton decided to quit The Voice so that he could spend more time with Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale’s three kids.
Since he dated Stefani, Shelton already forged a close bond with Kingston, Apollo, and Zuma.
“Blake wants to spend more time with Gwen and her kids. The boys are growing up so fast, and he wants to take advantage of this time because it’ll be over in the blink of an eye,” the source said.
The insider also claimed that even though Shelton had a blast on The Voice, he also thinks that now is the perfect time for an adventure.
Meanwhile, other tabloids have been claiming that Shelton decided to quit The Voice so that he could focus on his marriage to Stefani.
“They decided they needed Blake to step away from the show, so they could focus on each other. Gwen wants him to spend more time with her, so they can ensure a happy future together,” the source said.
Other sources also alleged that Shelton made the difficult decision to quit The Voice because the producers told him that Stefani will not be asked to return next season. As a result, Shelton didn’t think that returning would be the right thing to do.
On top of this, there were also claims that Shelton was axed from The Voice because the producers are planning to hire much younger singers next season. And they allegedly think that Shelton no longer has the huge market that he once had.
However, it is important to note that Shelton has not explained the reason why he quit The Voice. It could be personal or professional, but at the end of the day, only he and his wife know the truth. So, it doesn’t make sense for anyone – especially tabloids – to keep speculating on it.
For now, fans of Shelton can still watch him on The Voice, but it wouldn’t be long before the current season ends and he leaves the singing reality TV show for good.
