Renee Zellweger will most likely say yes to Ant Anstead if he proposes to her. The only problem is, Anstead has not expressed any desire to seal the deal with the actress.
A source told Heat UK that Zellweger fell hard and fast for Anstead. And there’s also no questioning the fact that she has been smitten with him for quite some time.
“They fell hard and fast for each other, and a lot of her friends were a little surprised to see her uproot her life so early and go all in with Ant as she did. But the way she sees it, the romance progressed at a perfectly stable and sensible pace, even though they were head-over-heels in love from the get-go,” the source said.
The source also claimed that the Bridget Jones Diary star did not have any problems renting a property close to Anstead’s home because he couldn’t leave his house yet amid his ongoing divorce battle with his ex-wife Christina Haack.
But after everything is resolved, Anstead just might decide to propose to Zellweger.
“They’re ready to go ahead and get engaged and create their own life together. They’ve been looking at potential wedding venues in the San Diego area but are also considering Renee’s place, which Ant has now moved into. They’re more in love than ever,” the source said.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. There’s no indication that Zellweger is already adamant about marrying Anstead. The actress and Anstead have only been dating for a couple of months so there’s no reason for them to rush into a marriage.
It’s not also true that Anstead refused to propose to Zellweger. When the time is right and as long as the couple is happy with their relationship, a proposal will definitely happen. However, it’s pointless to pressure the couple into tying the knot right now.
For now, Anstead is busy with his custody and divorce battle with his ex-wife. The exes were blessed with a son together and Anstead also needs to take him into consideration before proposing to Zellweger.
The actress, on the other hand, is busy with her upcoming projects. So, it would make more sense if she and Anstead would bide their time before they settle down.
