Prince William and Kate Middleton have reportedly pressed pause on their royal duties. It comes as the public is said to have not seen the pair doing engagements and appearances in the last few days.
Cosmopolitan stated that there is a “pretty relatable” reason behind the pair’s break from their royal activities. It noted that it has to do with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, who transferred to a new school for the current academic year.
The publication explained that the three young royals are on their half-term break, seemingly suggesting that the Prince and Princess of Wales have taken time off to be with their children.
It later cited the school, Lambrook School’s schedule taken from its website, saying that the hiatus runs from October 14 to October 31.
The outlet continued that Kate Middleton and Prince William last made an official appearance on October 13. It was when they visited the Olympic Park in London, an engagement which, as per a body language expert, saw them sharing “a new era of PDAs.”
The Duchess of Cornwall and Cambridge is also noted to have had her last known royal duty two days later. As stated, she sent a letter of encouragement to the England Rugby League as the patron of English rugby.
The publication later shared that the Duke of Cornwall and Cambridge will not have his next royal engagement until next month. It recalled that Kensington Palace confirmed the matter upon releasing a statement, saying he will attend the 10th annual Tusk Conservation Awards in London on November 1.
Meanwhile, royal commentators Christina Garibaldi and Christine Ross seemingly had similar assertions about Prince William and Kate Middleton’s work schedule.
They stated in an episode of the “Royally Us” podcast that the two working royals are unlikely to be seen “until after the children go back” to school, according to Express UK.
Garibaldi reportedly claimed during the exchange that the Prince and Princess of Wales are “taking a little bit of a break this week” likely because of their children, who are “on holiday from school.” She is said to have added that this is “why they are not out and about as much this week.”
The outlet consequently noted that Ross agreed with her co-host’s thoughts on the matter.
It quoted the royal commentator from the podcast episode, saying, “Yes, the children get a two-week break, what’s called a half-term break. So, we probably will not see them until after the children go back.”
