Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady reportedly have an ironclad prenup. But even if this is the case, there are no guarantees that their divorce proceedings will take place smoothly.

A source told Life & Style that Bundchen and Brady are not after each other’s money because they are both set for life as individuals. However, the fact that their children are below 18 years old means that they need to equally divide everything to support their kids.

“Their prenup is pretty ironclad – listing exactly how everything they came into the marriage with should be split – but their earnings during their relationship and the kids being under 18 could complicate things,” the source said.

The source added that this was one of the reasons why Bundchen and Brady decided to hire the best divorce lawyers in town. This way, their divorce could be finalized in no time.

However, Bundchen and Brady have not confirmed or denied their plans to go their separate ways. What’s only known is that the couple has been living separately.

The Brazilian model has her kids most days of the week, but Brady is also allowed to spend time with them. However, the couple has not been photographed together with their children in a long time.

This week, the couple made headlines after Brady sat down for an interview on his podcast. Brady seemingly explained why he’s been struggling to quit football even if he already promised his wife that he would do it months ago.

“The reality is, you can really only be authentic to yourself. I almost look at like a football season like you’re going away on deployment in the military. And it’s like, ‘Man, here I go again. There’s only one way to do it. Whenever you may say, ‘Oh man, I want to make sure I spend a little more time doing this,’ your competitiveness takes over. And as much as you want to have this playful balance with the work balance, you’re going to end up doing exactly what you’ve always done,” he said (via Style Caster).

According to multiple sources, one of Bundchen’s issues with Brady is that he rarely spends time with their family. So, the model hoped that things would change after Brady told her about his plans to retire from football.

But shortly after he made his official announcement, Brady went back on his word and said that he wasn’t ready to give up the sport.
