Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis dismissed their former nanny’s accusations against them.
In a joint statement to Entertainment Tonight, the two celebrities expressed how the allegations from their former employee have upset them. They also deemed the claims “scurrilous,” adding that their former nanny’s harassment toward them “has reached its unfortunate apex.”
In its report, published Tuesday, the outlet quoted Sudeikis and Wilde’s statement, writing, “As parents, it is incredibly upsetting to learn that a former nanny of our two young children would choose to make such false and scurrilous accusations about us publicly.”
It continues, “Her now 18-month long campaign of harassing us, as well as loved ones, close friends and colleagues, has reached its unfortunate apex.”
Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde later added in the statement shared with ET that they “will continue to focus on raising and protecting” their children. They noted that they would do it “with the sincere hope” that the former nanny “will now choose to leave our family alone.”
The former couple’s joint response comes after the former nanny, who worked for the family for about three years, made shocking allegations about the pair in an interview.
The insider, who remains unnamed, provided the supposed details about Wilde and Sudeikis’ relationship to the Daily Mail, which published the claims in a report published on Tuesday.
The former nanny shared in the interview that the “Ted Lasso” star was left blindsided and heartbroken following the “Lazarus Effect” actress’s departure.
It was also alleged that the breakup occurred on November 8, 2020, claiming that Olivia Wilde ended the relationship during a visit to their house from a nearby hotel, where she stayed, supposedly due to a COVID-19 outbreak on set.
The former nanny told the publication that Jason Sudeikis “thought it was a temporary break” due to COVID-19, referring to the actress’s earlier move to the hotel. However, it is stated that it “turned out to be how she left us.”
The two celebrities’ former employee alleged, as well, that the “Horrible Bosses” actor learned the details of the relationship between Harry Styles and the “Don’t Worry Darling” director after reading messages on an Apple watch she had left behind.
Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis, who share two children, began dating in 2011 and got engaged earlier in 2013.
Reports of their breakup first made headlines in November 2020. But, sources maintained that it was “amicable,” adding that their main concern was their children.
People, in a recent report covering the latest claims, recalled an insider’s assertion at the time about the split. As stated, Wilde and Sudeikis have “been amicable and they’ve transitioned into a great co-parenting routine.”
