Sharon Osbourne could allegedly return to television more permanently after she quit The Talk.

In its Oct. 24 issue, National Enquirer claimed that Fox released a four-part documentary on the disgraced talk show host. And the gig could allegedly be more permanent.

If the rumors are true, this could mean that Osbourne would host one of Fox’s programs.

“Fox would be stupid if they didn’t give Osbourne a permanent seat on a daytime talk show where she would be able to bring in more viewers,” the source said.

The insider added that the timing of Osbourne’s four-part special seems suspicious because Fox is currently auditioning and testing new hosts and personalities.

“Fox Nation is testing ground for new talent, so when people do well, they’re thrown in as panelists on the top opinion shows. If viewers respond to Sharon, then we’ll see her with a permanent seat on a prominent show or even her very own show,” the source said.

According to the publication, casting Osbourne as a host of one of Fox’s shows is indeed a possibility because the network is known for hiring canceled and controversial personalities.

Osbourne was canceled after she had an on-air argument with her co-host, Sheryl Underwood and for defending Piers Morgan after the latter criticized Meghan Markle.

The controversial host was accused of being racist after she defended her long-time friend.

“Why is it that because I supported a longtime friend and work colleague for years, people go ‘well you must be racist because he’s racist.’ No. I support his freedom of speech. I’m not racist and neither is Piers racist. What have I ever said about anybody that’s racist? It’s not within me. It’s not in my soul,” Osbourne said (via The Sun).

According to reports, Osbourne and Underwood also refused to apologize to each other following their on-air spat. But the former insisted that the confrontation was uncalled for especially since they did not plan to discuss the matter on air.

Osbourne claimed that she felt ambushed when Underwood brought it up. But she still ended up quitting The Talk because more people seemingly sided with Underwood and Markle.

As of late, Fox has not expressed any desire to hire Osbourne full-time. And it’s also unclear if the host would accept the offer if the network does invite her to get on board.
