King Charles allegedly decided to get his revenge on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle by demoting them on the royal family website.
According to National Enquirer, the move shocked the Duke and Duchess of Sussex because they thought their recent return to the UK is the beginning of their attempts to return to the royal family.
“This is a brutal wakeup call for the Sussexes, who have been peddling royal dirt and trading on their blue blood ties to make millions in America since quitting their duties. With Charles declaring to the world the Sussexes are demoted to the bottom of the royal heap, their market value just took a major hit,” the source said.
But what made Prince Harry and Markle’s demotion worse was the fact that their names were listed just above Prince Andrew. The latter was involved in a sexual abuse scandal, which is an issue that is more difficult to forgive than what the Sussexes have done.
“I’m told the Sussexes are seething over this public humiliation. Meghan expected to become the royal family’s queen bee when she wed Harry. But she and henpecked Harry have been cast aside as ruthlessly as she reportedly treated royal staff,” the source said.
According to the source, even though Prince Harry is still fifth in line to the throne, his work with the royal family is long over. And it’s unlikely for him and Markle to ever be allowed to return to their duties.
While it is true that Prince Harry and Markle will no longer return to their royal duties, it’s not a big deal for their names to be listed at the bottom of the royal family website.
The website provides information on the jobs that senior working royals take on. And the fact that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex now work as private citizens means their activities wouldn’t be uploaded on the royal family website.
The same goes for Prince Andrew, who took a step back from his royal duties after he was accused of sexual abuse. He is now considered a private citizen and he no longer represents the royal family. As such, he was also placed at the bottom of the website.
However, the move was not meant as a snub to the Sussexes and the Duke of York.
