Armie Hammer and Elizabeth Chambers’ relationship did not end on a positive note. The latter left the former amid claims of sexual abuse from multiple women.
Now, Us Weekly is claiming that the rumors that Chambers was blindsided by Hammer’s sexual abuse allegations are not necessarily accurate. After all, Chambers was the one who encouraged the accusers to come forward.
“Elizabeth reached out to Effie while Arnie and Effie were in a consensual affair and pushed her to create accusations against him,” the source said.
The insider added that Chambers created a fake email account and sent photos and information to media outlets to tarnish Hammer’s reputation.
However, a rep for Chambers claimed that the actress sent out emails to Hammer’s victims because she wanted to know the extent of their allegations.
“She was very sensitive to all parties involved,” the source said.
Following the scandal, Hammer was canceled in Hollywood. He was removed from some of his projects and he has not also made an appearance on TV and in the movies.
But the actor recently made headlines after his sexual abuse scandal was spoofed on Saturday Night Live together with Adam Levine’s cheating scandal.
Miles Teller debuted on the hit show to poke fun at the two men. And when it came to Hammer, he suggested that the actor wanted to receive a warm round of applause when he returns to Hollywood.
“Look, I know there's been a lot of talk about me in the press, but I've done a lot of work on myself and I've changed. So, I have my message. I want to break open your bones and suck out the marrow,” Teller said (via USA Today).
As of late, Hammer has not responded to Teller’s spoof. But Levine is reportedly disgusted by the jokes made about his alleged cheating scandal.
The Maroon 5 frontman was accused of being unfaithful to his wife, Behati Prinsloo after several women came forward with text messages from the singer.
However, Levine denied ever cheating on his wife. But he admitted to making a huge mistake by messaging the women in a flirty manner.
Even with this, Prinsloo continued to show Levine her support during his recent performance in Los Angeles.
And it also became evident that she was ready to forgive her husband unlike what happened between Hammer and Chambers.
