King Charles has allegedly been acting like a diva and insisting that his coronation should be the biggest event of the century.
In its Oct. 10 issue, Life & Style claimed that King Charles III is not taking no for an answer. He also wants to make sure that he would get all of his wishes when he gets crowned sometime next year.
“Charles is being a real diva about the coronation. He wants it to be the event of the century. Aides are having to remind him to keep within the budget,” the source said.
The source claimed that King Charles III want to wear a new uniform during his coronation. But having one made means that there would be additional costs.
“Charles has a whole new closet of custom-made suits for his coronation and isn’t happy with any of them. Not one! They’re either too stuffy, too formal, or lack that je ne sais quoi,” the source said.
The source also claimed that the monarch has no problem with hiring and firing designers left and right if they do not give him what he wants.
On top of this, Camilla’s husband also wants to have a new ring customized for his use. Since his fingers are swollen, none of his rings fit.
“None of the royal rings fit his swollen hands, and it’s costing an absolute fortune to get them resized. Prince William isn’t very pleased about it because it means they’ll be too big for him and Prince George to wear when each of them eventually takes the throne,” the source said.
But King Charles III is allegedly insisting that his coronation is his special day so he wouldn’t settle for anything less. He wants the day to be perfect and all his demands to be met.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. Discussions regarding King Charles III’s coronation are taking place in private so no one knows for sure what the plans are.
But knowing the monarch, it’s unlikely for him to have all these outrageous demands especially following the queen’s death. Of course, one of King Charles III’s goals is to make sure that the royal family would live within their budget. So, it’s unlikely for him to demand a new suit and ring to wear during his coronation.
