Kamala Harris allegedly always wants to be at the top of her game.
According to National Enquirer, in its Oct. 10 issue, Harris also has the same rule when it comes to her family and friends. The vice president doesn’t want other people to be better or more popular than her.
As such, a source claimed that Harris couldn’t help but be jealous of her stepdaughter Ella Emhoff’s overnight success after the latter was photographed walking on the red carpet.
“Ella went from being this mousy, skinny girl on the sidelines to ambitious top model almost overnight and Kamala doesn’t like it one bit,” the source said.
Harris’ jealousy toward her stepdaughter did not sit well with her husband, Doug Emhoff. After all, in his eyes, his daughter could do no wrong and he will always side with her over his wife.
“Kamala’s embarrassed by her shows and the ridiculous outfits. But she’s also jealous Ella’s more popular than she is,” the source said.
But what enrages the vice president, even more, is how her husband has been encouraging Ella to pursue her modeling career and be the best at what she does.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. It’s not true that Harris is jealous of her stepdaughter. There’s no reason for her to be jealous of Ella because they do not belong to the same industry.
It’s not also true that Ella is more popular than her stepmom. After all, Ella just tried her luck in modeling recently but Harris is the vice president of the United States. So, it makes more sense for more people to know the latter over the former.
There’s also no indication that Harris’ husband is forced to take sides over her ongoing negative feelings toward Ella. This doesn’t make sense because Harris has always been a very supportive stepmom.
And the same can also be said about Ella, who joined her dad and stepmom when she was proclaimed the vice president of the United States.
All these claims made by the tabloid were created to try and create tensions within the Emhoff household. But it’s unlikely for these attempts to flourish because Harris and her entire family have more important things to focus their attention on than this baseless gossip.
