There are still reportedly some issues between Prince William and Prince Harry. But, a royal expert has seemingly urged the future King to bury the hatchet with his sibling, considering his role in the British Monarchy.
Mirror reported that Duncan Larcombe made the suggestion, asking the newly created Prince of Wales to “sort out the issues” between him and the Duke of Sussex. As noted, he shared his thoughts on the matter during an engagement with “The Royal Beat.”
The royal expert reportedly said during the exchange that “it doesn’t look good” for King Charles III’s heir if the issues between him and the former working royal continue. He is said to have explained that “William [has] just become the Prince of Wales,” adding that he will one day assume the role of a monarch.
Larcombe continued that Prince William “wants a leadership role,” and “be a leader,” as per the publication.
However, he reportedly asserted that the British Royal Family is now “being likened to the Kardashians” due to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s current activities. He is said to have cited the pair’s deal with Netflix, adding that “they’re being followed around” by the streaming giant and “they’re selling out all their Royal brand for the highest bidder.”
Even so, the royal expert is shared to have not pointed fingers at the Prince of Wales, saying it is not his fault. But, he reportedly stated, “...for goodness’ sake, William, the onus is not on Harry.”
Mirror noted elsewhere in its report that, as per royal sources, “a serious amount of distrust in the air” remains apparent between the royal siblings. As added, their relationship allegedly hangs “in the balance” until the arrival of the Duke of Sussex’s memoir.
The royal expert’s comments come days after royal correspondent Katie Nicholl said there would never be a reconciliation between Prince Harry and Prince William.
Page Six stated last Friday that the “New Royals” author made the claims during a conversation on “Dan Wootton Tonight,” noting that the new Prince of Wales “simply can’t forgive” the Duke of Sussex.
The outlet later quoted Nicholl, claiming, “He always thought Harry would be his wingman, now he’s doing it on his own. Thank goodness he’s got Kate by his side.”
Prince Harry and Prince William were last seen together following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II earlier this month.
The royal siblings even had a surprise reunion, alongside their spouses, Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton, to meet and greet well-wishers outside Windsor Castle.
At the time, Entertainment Tonight learned from a source that the future King reached out to his brother an hour before the appearance. He was said to have asked the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to join him and the new Princess of Wales, with the insider stating that he thought it was an “important show of unity.”
