Wynonna Judd and Ashley Judd are still being pitted against each other following their mom Naomi Judd’s untimely death.
A source told National Enquirer that Wynonna decided to remove Ashley from her tour because she wants to prioritize bringing in big-time artists. After all, this would mean bigger profit for the singer.
“Ashley hoped she could join Wynnona on stage and tell funny and moving stories about their mother’s life. But Wynonna wanted to bring in big names to juice ticket sales and line her own pockets,” the source said.
The siblings are also not on the same side when it comes to their mom’s estate. Naomi decided to leave her $25 million property to her husband, Larry Strickland.
Ashley thinks that it was the right thing to do, but Wynonna believes otherwise. So she has allegedly been telling her close friends that she would contest her late mother’s will.
“Wy feels like she’s entitled to part of the estate since most of Naomi’s fortune was built through the career of The Judds. Ashley is siding with Larry so it’s another royal battle. Ashley is hoping Wynonna has a change of heart, but for now, she’s on the outside looking in on the final celebration of Naomi’s life,” the source said.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. It’s not true that Wynonna removed Ashley from her tour lineup because the latter wasn’t supposed to be there in the first place.
When Naomi was still alive, she and Wynonna were supposed to take the stage for a series of performances. But following the country singer’s death, Wynonna had to reschedule her tour dates.
It’s not also uncommon for artists to invite other performers to join them on tour. This happens all the time and this isn’t a big deal.
It seems the tabloid is just putting the blame on Wynonna because they are aware that the siblings are not on the same side when it comes to Naomi’s $25 million estate.
But as of late, Naomi’s estate is the only thing that Wynonna and Ashley could not agree on. It’s not true that the siblings are feuding about other things when these matters seem too trivial especially now that their mom is no longer around.
