It looks like some of President Trump's donors and political allies are getting worried. The general election is just five months away, and some of Trump's advisers, top Republicans, and campaign veterans feel the Trump campaign isn't putting in enough effort to ravage the former vice president's strength as far as the polls are concerned.

The aforesaid Trump supporters aren't pleased with the Trump campaign's lack of efforts to rundown Biden's reputation despite its multiple attempts to do so. The campaign has tried several ways to attack Biden including referring to his age, work with the Chinese officials as vice president, and even mentioning former President Obama's economic record but to no avail.

Recently unveiled pilling shows Trump is lagging behind the presumptive Democratic nominee in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and a slew of other key battleground states, with the Republican control of the Senate currently available amid a sunken economy and concerns about the coronavirus pandemic across the nation.

The disappointing outcome of the all-over-the-map strategy is triggering anxiety not only among the Republican advisers but also the conservative groups and donors who are urging the Trump campaign to up the ante radically to dismiss Biden. It can be recalled that former President Obama threw Mitt Romney aside as a plutocrat during his 2012 campaign, inescapably framing Romney, POLITICO reported.

One Republican encouraged the Trump campaign to take the gloves off and put Biden away, adding that it has the cash advantage and an entire month to burry him. During interviews, ten Trumpworld members including outside allies, donors, advisers, and aides have indicated that the Memorial Day weekend will be a turning point for the Trump campaign.

With multiple states reopening businesses after remaining close for a long time due to the pandemic, the advisers want the Trump campaign to up the ante as well, now that they feel Trump has got survived the worst of the political unfavorable situation. Failing to ramp up could mean the election would be nothing more than a simple referendum on the president and his past 3.5 years record, and how he handled the pandemic, while Biden continues to hide out in his basement, as Trump officials describe.

According to a former Trump 2016 campaign official, American people think of Biden as the happy grandfather during the previous presidency. It is imperative for the Trump campaign to damage Biden's impression as they head straight into the fall.
