A royal commentator noted that King Charles III had plenty of support to call on in his reign as the new British Monarch. From the senior female royals alone, he already reportedly has a “very confident” and “capable” quad.
Speaking to Express UK, Jonathan Sacerdoti pointed out that the former Prince of Wales can count on the support of the top four female working royals. These include Camilla Parker Bowles, the Queen Consort, Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, Princess Anne, the Princess Royal, and Sophie, the Countess of Wessex.
The royal expert told the outlet that in these four royal women, “there is a very confident and capable ‘quad’ of women to with” the new monarch and his heir, Prince William.
Sacerdoti continued that the public is “moving from an era where we had the benefit of an extremely loved and very capable female Monarch, who was there for almost everybody’s living memory.”
Accordingly, per his assertion, “part of that transition will be adapting” not just to a new style and a new individual in the role of the monarch “but somebody who is rather a king than a queen.”
The royal expert later said to the publication that this will “help have that female side of the [British Royal] Family also very active and visible.” He explained, as well, that this is something the public will miss about Queen Elizabeth II “but of course [King Charles III] can’t reproduce.”
In the end, Sacerdoti believes “that is hopefully one way in which they will be able to assist” the King.
King Charles III assumed the role of the monarch immediately after the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. While he has since held the position, no details have been shared yet regarding the coronation.
To date, there are nine official working members of the British Royal Family, according to Metro UK. It noted, though, that the list has taken its basis from the ones invited to stand on the balcony of Buckingham Palace during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June.
On top of the list are King Charles III and Queen Camilla. They previously held the roles of Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, titles which are now inherited by Prince William and Kate Middleton.
The Cambridge pair, who are now the new Prince and Princess of Wales, is also included on the list of the current working royals.
As for the remaining five, the publication said these are Princess Anne, Prince Edward, Sophie, Countess of Wessex, Prince Richard, and Birgitte, Duchess of Gloucester.
