Ellen DeGeneres and Rosie O’Donnell are sparking rumors that they could have had a failed fling years ago.

During a recent interview, O’Donnell revealed that she’s no longer friends with DeGeneres.

The Fosters star revealed that she was hurt by DeGeneres’ comments when Larry King asked the comedian what happened to O’Donnell. Portia de Rossi’s wife said that she had no idea because they are not friends.

O’Donnell revealed that she was already in bed when she heard what DeGeneres said and she was heartbroken. After all, the two have been friends for quite some time. And DeGeneres also came out on O’Donnell’s former talk show.

Now, a source for New Idea is saying that the two talk show hosts falling out seems a little bit suspicious.

“You’d think Rosie would be one of her first guests, but nope. That’s when people began wondering if something was up… like a top-secret fling gone wrong. It would be the only reason why Ellen would so brazenly diss her,” the source said.

The source also claimed that O’Donnell’s reaction to DeGeneres’ comment is also suspicious.

“Rosie’s reaction says a lot too. She would never attack one of her own, but to openly admit she’ll never get over it shows just how deeply she was hurt by Ellen,” the source said.

However, it’s not uncommon for friends to have a falling out. But this doesn’t automatically mean that they had a fling in the past.

There’s no indication that O’Donnell and DeGeneres ever dated or that they were ever interested in each other. All these are just made up by the tabloid to make it seem as though there’s more to the story than the two snubbing each other.

Meanwhile, DeGeneres also made headlines recently after her protegee, Greyson Chance slammed him during an interview with Rolling Stone.

The singer accused the comedian of being manipulative and of being rude to her staffers.

Chance also claimed that DeGeneres abandoned him after his album sales dropped considerably in 2012.

However, some fans of DeGeneres are siding with the comedian. And they are also questioning the timing of Chance’s interview because it was released around the time that his new album dropped.

So, they believe that Chance just wants people to talk about him so that they will also listen to Palladium.
