There reportedly remains a rift between Prince William and Prince Harry. One royal author even recently claimed that the former “just cannot forgive” the latter due to several things, but ultimately because of leaving him.
The Mirror reported that the assertions were from Katie Nicholl, who authored “The New Royals.” She is said to have stated on “Dan Wootton Tonight” that the new Prince of Wales cannot just put all this to one side and forget it.
The royal expert reportedly believes that “ultimately,” the future King “cannot forgive” the Duke of Sussex. But, she is noted to have argued that this is not only because of his younger brother’s “behavior,” and what he has done or how he has done it.
Nicholl is reported to have suggested that Prince William cannot forgive Prince Harry because of “how much now rests on [him],” as well. As added, the royal always thought his younger brother “would be his wingman, [but] now he is doing it on his own.”
Elsewhere in the exchange, the royal author also reportedly stated that the friction and tension between the Duke of Sussex and the other members of the British Royal Family became a “strain” on Queen Elizabeth II.
Moreover, she is said to have alleged that the late monarch was “exhausted” by her effort to “forge a reconciliation” between the royal siblings.
This is not the first time Prince Harry and Prince William have faced talks of tension and feud between them. But, despite the ongoing narrative, they have maintained their silence, making it unclear whether the reports are legitimate.
The Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex recently reunited following Queen Elizabeth II’s passing.
The former working royal, who left his royal post earlier in 2020, had an extended stay in the United Kingdom, along with his wife, Meghan Markle, earlier this month. They joined the rest of the British Royal Family for days, attending services in honor of the late monarch.
A source told the Sunday Times of London, however, that Prince Harry found it “difficult” and “uncomfortable” being in Prince William’s company while in the United Kingdom. Even so, it was said that “everybody is trying their best,” according to Page Six.
On September 10, days after the Queen’s passing, the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex made their first joint outing since the Sussexes’ return to Europe. They, alongside their respective spouses, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, surprised the public with their “show of unity” outside Windsor Castle.
However, an insider told People that it was not easy for the two royal siblings. As claimed, “it was awkward,” adding that “both couples found it hard” and “they were in a stoic spirit of just getting through it for the Queen.”
