Madonna is allegedly on the hunt for a new boyfriend but the singer is having a hard time finding the perfect guy to date.

In its Sept. 24 issue, Heat UK claimed that Madonna is desperate for love. But at her age, it’s not that easy to find someone who will also be interested in her.

“Madonna has had the word out for months that she needs a new boyfriend, but nothing’s stuck. The guys she’s chasing don’t want the baggage or pressure that comes with her. There’s the whole age-inappropriate factor and the word is she’s a rather selfish and demanding lover too,” the source said.

Madonna also sparked rumors that she could be dating 23-year-old model Andrew Darnell after their photos circulated online after their photoshoot. However, there’s nothing romantic going on between the two. But Madonna is more than happy to spark the speculations because dating a much younger guy is a boost to her ego.

“Madonna sees herself as this free-spirited, young-at-heart woman, and she’s not attracted to guys who are close to her own age. The ideal for her is someone in his 20s. She says he needs a guy with stamina,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. Madonna has not expressed any desire to date anyone lately let alone someone much younger than her.

The speculations just started after she posed for a photo with the hunky model who is just 23 years old. Since the two seemed to have chemistry with each other, the singer’s fans started speculating on the possibility that they could be a couple but they are not.

Another reason why Madonna has been sparking dating speculations is that she’s still single months after her split from Ahlamalik Williams. The exes dated for three years before calling it quits in April.

A source told The Sun at the time that Madonna decided to spend more time with her family and friends in the wake of her breakup.

“Madonna has thrown herself into a busy social life and has been seeing her friends and family after the split. She has a packed schedule, working on her upcoming biopic, new music, and looking after her family,” the source said.

Despite the split, Madonna and Williams are still good friends.
