Sylvester Stallone and Jennifer Flavin’s marriage has been rocked by a slew of scandals until it finally reached a point where they decided to file for divorce.
The A-listers did not reveal the real reason why they decided to go their separate ways. But there are whispers that their daughters’ obsession with fame caused Stallone and Flavin to split.
A source told National Enquirer that Stallone and Flavin were never on the same page with regard to their daughters’ careers. The actor didn’t want his kids to get into the entertainment industry, but it’s all Flavin could think of.
“For years, Jen had endured whispers Sly wasn’t faithful to her, but when he refused to push their kids’ careers in the direction she wanted, she decided she’d had enough,” the source said.
The source also claimed that Flavin is fighting to get a huge chunk of Stallone’s net worth for her sake and the sake of her daughters. After all, they want to make sure that they will still be set for life even without Stallone in their lives anymore.
Following Flavin’s divorce filing, the couple’s daughters also seemingly sided with their mom over their dad. And it seems they are upset with the actor for not supporting their acting career.
“Sly hadn’t really used his muscle in the business to help his daughters the way Cindy Crawford did for Kaia or the Beckhams have done for their boy Brooklyn. Jen and the girls believe it’s time for them to get paid. Now, she’s going to take the money and run,” the source said.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. As of late, there’s no proof that Stallone and Flavin decided to go their separate ways because of their daughters.
Stallone has been nothing but supportive when it came to his daughters’ careers. And it’s highly likely that they received opportunities because they are connected to their dad. So, it’s not true that Stallone refused to help his daughters out.
It’s not also true that Flavin and her daughters are only after Stallone’s money because there are reasons why she decided to file for divorce. It’s unlikely for Flavin to give up on her 25-year-marriage just because she wants to get spousal support from Stallone.
