Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are unlikely to meet with the British Royal Family during their stay in the United Kingdom. This is reportedly despite receiving an invitation from Prince Charles, who is said to have once again tried to bring his son back to the Royal fold.
Sources stated that the former working royals are “always welcome” to stay with the Prince of Wales. As noted, “he has not wavered, despite the attacks, which seems to be coming with increased vigor,” according to the Mirror.
The future King is also said to have invited the pair, “and the whole family if they wished,” to visit and be with him this summer in Balmoral. He reportedly “thought it might be a good opportunity for everyone to take stock and relax.”
Sources alleged, however, that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex “declined” and refused to accept the invitation.
No other details were given regarding the matter. The insiders did not provide proof, as well, to substantiate the story.
In addition, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, alongside Prince Charles, have yet to confirm the report. This seemingly makes the latest narrative a mere rumor unless otherwise stated.
On Friday, an insider gave The Daily Beast a story with a different tone. As claimed, the former working royals face being “frozen out” of the British Royal Family during and after their return to the United Kingdom.
A source, who claimed to be a “friend” of Prince Charles, alleged that the Heir Apparent “adores” his youngest son, adding that he “would like nothing better than to get the relationship sorted.” However, “a meeting next week is unlikely” following the claims Meghan Markle made for the cover feature of New York magazine’s “The Cut.”
The outlet later quoted the insider, claiming, “Everything was already on hold until they saw what was in Harry’s book, but if Meghan is actively threatening to reveal further secrets, and telling interviewers, ‘I haven’t signed anything, I can say anything I want,’ then it’s not surprising they are being frozen out.”
Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are said to have arrived in the United Kingdom over the weekend. Hello! magazine reported that the two personalities were seen driving after taking on a commercial flight, according to Express UK.
The outlet was uncertain, though, whether the Duke and Duchess of Sussex brought their two children with them.
But a royal source later told Harper’s Bazaar that the former working royals are traveling without their kids, adding that a team of Archewell aides and private security are accompanying them.
