Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will return to the United Kingdom next week. But, during their stay on the British Royals’ turf, Kate Middleton and Prince William may reportedly try to “avoid” them.
Speaking to Us Weekly, royal expert Christopher Andersen shared that the Sussexes' return will be “interesting.” He believes the royals, especially the future King and Queen Consort, will play “royal hide and seek” with the former working royals.
The expert explained, though, that at the beginning of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s trip, it would likely not be “too awkward” because the Cambridges would still be with Queen Elizabeth II in Scotland. But, he argued that the case would be different when they return from Balmoral to the grounds of Windsor.
Andersen explained when Kate Middleton and Prince William get back to Windsor, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would be back from their trip to Germany. He noted that the royals will be “literally, a brief stroll [from] each other on the grounds of Windsor.”
The expert, who authored a new piece, titled “The Day Diana Died,” also stated that “it is gonna have all the markings of an old fashioned farce with these people trying to avoid each other.” He claimed that the royals “do not want to see each other because everybody is worried about [the Duke of Sussex’s memoir,” adding that the material “is going to be loaded with, obviously, bombshells.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will fly back to Europe next week. They will first head to Manchester before going to Germany.
On September 8, the former working royals will return to the United Kingdom. Although, it is unclear how long they will stay in the country.
The Sun previously reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex plan to stay at Frogmore Cottage, which is on the Queen’s Windsor estate. As added, their return would be days after Prince William and Kate Middleton relocated to Adelaide Cottage, which is just a few minutes away.
But, insiders reportedly claimed that the royals are “unlikely” to stop by next door for a chat or visit. It was also stated that there are “no plans” for the two couples to meet despite being neighbors.
Meanwhile, royal experts and commentators have similar thoughts about the matter.
Ingrid Seward told The Sun that she does not think Prince William and Kate Middleton “would bump into” Prince Harry and Meghan Markle “unless it was pre-arranged.”
As for Angela Levin, who spoke to FEMAIL, she asserted that the Duke of Cambridge “will want to avoid” the Duke of Sussex until after reading his brother’s memoir, according to MailOnline.
