Kris Jenner has set the record straight about the recent claims over Scott Disick getting “excommunicated” from the Kardashian-Jenner family.
On Instagram, the matriarch of the family took the time to defend the father of her grandchildren from her eldest, Kourtney Kardashian. It came after a media account on the platform shared a post reporting the claims, which first emerged on Friday.
Us Weekly, in its recent piece covering the matter, quoted Kris Jenner’s comment, writing, “Scott will NEVER be excommunicated from our family.”
It continues, “He’s the father of my grandchildren and a special part of our family. We love him and [the claims are] not true.”
The allegations first emerged later this week, with sources telling Page Six the supposed details.
The first insider told the publication that Scott Disick had been “excommunicated” by the Kardashians and the Jenners, adding that it had been the case as the family continues to focus on Travis Barker. It was claimed that “he had to regroup who his relationships are” because of it.
The publication quoted the insider, alleging, “Ever since Kourtney got married, he does not spend as much time with that whole group. He’s been kind of excommunicated because the priority is Travis.”
A second source, meanwhile, told the same outlet that Disick had been “filming with famous family despite being ‘distanced’ from them.”
Following the assertions, though, reps for the Talentless co-founder and the Kardashian-Jenner family remained silent. They did not release any comment to address the claims until Kris Jenner set the record straight on Instagram.
Prior to the allegations, Scott Disick made headlines earlier last week for his relationship with Kimberly Stewart.
Sources confirmed their romance to Us Weekly, stating, “[they] have been dating for a few months.” It was also added that the two personalities are “really into each other.”
Disick and Stewart reportedly waited a while before going public with their romance. The relationship was also said to be "not set serious yet," although they have been "getting to know each other in a different way than seeing each other as friends."
The two celebrities first sparked romance rumors in 2015. Reports recalled that it was two months after he and Kris Jenner’s eldest child decided to split for good.
But, Page Six noted that reps for Kimberly Stewart dismissed the claims and stated that there was “no truth” to the narrative.
Meanwhile, Disick and Kardashian began their on-and-off romance in 2006. While they never tied the knot, they share three children.
