Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will fly back to Europe this fall. But, royal experts recently questioned the decision, noting that they are heading “back into the danger zone.”
Express UK reported that the claims were from Kinsey Schofield during a recent engagement with Christopher Anderson. As stated, the two royal experts discussed the matter, seemingly giving the former working royals a warning.
Speaking on an episode of the “To Di For Daily” podcast, Schofield is said to have revealed that she is “surprised” about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s return to the United Kingdom. She reportedly added that the pair seems to “keep going back into the danger zone.”
The publication consequently quoted the expert, explaining, “Why go over to the U.K. where your reputation is taking a hit right now? Why not continue to grow your U.S. reputation and take advantage of the fact that not a lot of people have that information about you here.”
Schofield reportedly continued that Meghan Markle is “very popular” in the United States, and “not so much in England.” She is claimed to have even emphasized that the former actress is “wildly unpopular,” and she has dragged Prince Harry’s popularity down.
Elsewhere in the engagement, the publication noted that Anderson agreed with the claims. He reportedly stated that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s return would be “an interesting watch” as he believes the pair would not receive a “warm and fuzzy” welcome.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s return to Europe was announced by a spokesperson on August 15.
In an official statement, the rep said the former working royals “are delighted to visit with several charities to their hearts in early September.”
People released a report on the matter, detailing the upcoming trip of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. As noted, the pair will first go to Manchester to attend the One Young World Summit on September 5.
The trip will see the pair next in Germany for the “One Year To Go” event of the Invictus Games on September 6. They will then return to the U.K. for the Well Child Awards on September 8.
The trip could provide a chance for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to meet with members of the British Royal Family, like Kate Middleton and Prince William. However, a source told People following the announcement that there are “no current plans” for the two pairs to meet up.
As for Queen Elizabeth II, a royal insider told the magazine that “there are a lot of moving parts in the diary for [her] that week."
