Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left their lives as royals in the United Kingdom and started anew in the United States. But, a former royal protection officer reportedly believes it will not be forever as the royal-born Prince could return to his home country.
Express UK said that the claims were from Ken Wharfe, the former royal bodyguard to the late Princess Diana. As noted, he shared his thoughts on the matter during an engagement with the “Pod Save The Queen” podcast.
The former royal protection officer reportedly claimed that the Duke of Sussex is unlikely to spend the rest of his life outside his home country. He is stated to have asserted that he cannot see the youngest Wales prince “forevermore living in California.”
The outlet quoted Wharfe, explaining, “It is clear to me that [Prince] Harry is not quite a fish out of sea. I mean he is getting involved in charitable work and he has these attachments to Netflix and other companies but, quite where they will end up, we do not know.”
Despite the uncertainties, the former royal protection officer reportedly noted that he has “this feeling that [the royal-born Prince] could well be back in a new role.” He is also said to have claimed that this could happen “with or without” Meghan Markle.
In the end, it is stated that the Princess of Wales’s former bodyguard has the thought of the Duke of Sussex returning “in some form” as part of Prince Charles’s plan for the British Monarchy.
Ken Wharfe is not the only one who thinks that way as some experts and commentators have already shared similar thoughts.
Earlier in April, royal author Tom Quinn spoke with Us Weekly and asserted that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are “hoping… [Prince] Charles will be open to [them being] part-time royals.” As noted, he predicted that the future King “may well allow” it as “things will change” under his reign.
The expert also suggested that the Prince of Wales may be “likely” to make it happen “for better optics.” Accordingly, he believes that there is a real possibility of the Sussexes becoming part-time royals.
Expert Tina Brown made similar claims earlier this year, according to Woman & Home. As reported, she believes the Prince of Wales will want Prince Harry and Meghan Markle back to the Royal Firm.
Speaking on an episode of the “Royally Obsessed” podcast, the royal author, who penned “The Palace Papers,” was said to have deemed the Sussexes “huge assets to the whole royal repertoire.” She reportedly added that the pair “had a young appeal that was very, very potent in the country.”
Hence, these are why she was noted to have the belief that Prince Charles would soon want the former working royals back.
