The tributes for Olivia Newton-John, who passed away “peacefully” on Monday, continue to surface across media platforms. The actress’s only daughter is one of the personalities who have broken their silence to honor the late celebrity, with her calling her mother “an angel on Earth.”
Chloe Lattanzi, whom the “Grease” star shared with her first husband, made a new “heartbreaking” tribute for her mother earlier on Wednesday. She took her “touching” post to Instagram, wherein she included a video of them singing “Window In The Wall” in duet.
The 36-year-old singer captioned the post, writing, “You are my lighthouse mama. My safe place. My heart space.”
It continues, “It has been my honor and continues to be my honor to be your baby and best friend.”
Lattanzi later referred to Olivia Newton-John as “an angel on Earth,” adding that “everyone touched by [her mother] has been blessed.”
The late actress’s daughter ended the post, saying, “I love you forever my life giver, my teacher, my mama.”
Mail Online noted that “Window In The Wall” is a collaboration Chloe Lattanzi did with the “Two Of A Kind” actress in 2021. It also said that the material served as the two artists’ second project together after doing a dance remix of “Magic,” which topped charts in 2015.
Lattanzi’s post on Instagram has since amassed more than 44,600 likes and 2,200 comments.
Page Six, meanwhile, unearthed what Olivia Newton-John said about the collaboration last year.
In a press statement at the time, the then-72-year-old celebrity shared that she had always “enjoyed singing duets more than singing on [her] own.” She also noted that she “knew immediately that [she] wanted to sing it with her daughter” when she first heard the material.
The publication quoted the “Xanadu” actress, saying, “The lyrics and melody really resonated with me and I hoped Chloe would feel the same way - and luckily she did.”
It continues, “There is always something special about singing with my daughter.”
Newton-John later added that Chloe Lattanzi “not only has a gorgeous voice, [but] she’s an amazing musician with tremendous instincts as a singer.”
The “Hopelessly Devoted To You” singer’s daughter first made a tribute to her mother on Monday. It came hours after the announcement of the actress’s death surfaced across media platforms, according to People.
On Instagram, Lattanzi shared a series of photos, featuring her and Olivia Newton-John. They seemingly show the bond between the mother and daughter throughout the years.
