Prince William and Kate Middleton have always been in agreement with each other. But there are rumors that this changed recently after they discussed the school arrangements of their son, Prince George.
An unnamed source told In Touch Weekly that Prince William and Middleton want Prince George to study at Lambrook School. But Prince William wants his eldest son to board inside the school. However, Middleton believes that Prince George is not yet ready for this arrangement.
“While Kate wants George to commute to school every day, William wants him to board there. Lambrook is a hybrid and offers both options. William wants to board school himself – Ludgrove School – but Kate can’t imagine shipping George off. He’s only 9,” the source said.
The source claimed that the Duke of Cambridge is keen on sending Prince George to a boarding school that’s why he inquired at Ludgrove School behind Middleton’s back. And when the latter found out, she lost it. Now, the royal couple is allegedly at odds with each other.
“He knows the value of learning independence at an early age and wants to expose his son to that especially because of George’s future responsibilities. This has always been the traditional education for a male monarch. But Kate can’t imagine not spending this precious time with George just because that’s the way it’s always been done. Their goal is to modernize the monarchy, not follow old, stuffy traditions,” the source said.
The source added that Middleton is worried about what would happen to her son if he goes to boarding school. After all, she was bullied by her classmates when she was just 13 years old and doesn’t want Prince George to go through the same thing.
As such, the Duchess of Cambridge allegedly believes that her husband should know better than to subject Prince George to this kind of misery. After all, he is keen on promoting the importance of mental health.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. As of late, there’s no proof that Prince William and Middleton are feuding over Prince George’s school.
And it’s not also true that Prince George will be transferring to Lambrook School. Even though this may be a possibility, nothing has been finalized as of late.
