It was more than a week ago when supermodel-businesswoman Heidi Klum quarantined herself in her home in Bel-Air. She claimed to have felt unwell since March 7 and her condition has caused the production of America's Got Talent: The Champions to be postponed. She also had herself tested for COVID19, and now ten days after, she has finally revealed her results.
Hollywood Life reports that the 46-year old tested negative for the virus. She posted a photo on her Instagram page, which includes the caption “Day 14 of staying — H❤️ME — #covid_19negative." This is good news for fans who have been waiting for the results of her test.
Fans of the former Project Runway host will know that it's not only Heidi who had the test but also her husband, Tom Kaulitz. The Tokio Hotel guitarist came home from a tour feeling ill too. The couple, who have been married since February 2019, decided to stay apart while waiting for the results of the tests. Fortunately, both tested negative, with Tom getting his results earlier than his wife.
The two have been posting videos of their isolation, even showing a picture of them kissing through the glass. They have also talked about how it was difficult for them to get tested due to the lack of kits.
Klum and her family live in California, where it has been reported that there are over 2,000 cases of those infected with the coronavirus, prompting the governor of California to tell his constituents to stay inside their homes.
Klum is just one of the many celebrities who got tested for the coronavirus. Earlier this month, Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita, admitted that they had COVID-19 while shooting in Australia. Days after, Hollywood star Idris Elba also admitted to being infected with the disease.
While the pandemic has caused health systems all over the world to start collapsing, there are still many who are offering a helping hand. Many celebrities are donating and doing projects to give back and help with the pandemic. Stars like Brad Paisley, whose grocery store will deliver to the elderly in their neighborhood; Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake have donated to Feeding America; and Kristen Bell and Dax Shephard not only donated to No Kid Hungry but have also waived the rent of their apartment tenants.
As of today, the CDC has reported over 44,000 cases of those infected with COVID-19, with 544 deaths.
