Katy Perry flaunted a slimmer figure in June while at the Las Vegas strip.
But according to Life & Style, less than a month prior to her outing, the American Idol judge weighed 20 pounds more.
A source claimed that Perry lost her unwanted weight quickly and she’s one of the lucky ones.
“Even Katy was shocked by how quickly she slimmed down. But she deserves all the credit. It took a lot of hard work and determination,” the source said.
After giving birth to her daughter, Daisy Bloom, Perry struggled to lose her pregnancy weight. But unlike other first-time moms, she didn’t stress about it.
In fact, the “Firework” singer decided to take as much time as she needed before she was finally ready to put on the work and lose weight.
“Then one day, Katy just got up and decided it was time to make a change,” the source said.
Perry allegedly stuck to a plant-based diet. But every now and then she also ate fish.
“She craved sweets, especially PB&J sandwiches, but rarely cheated. Her workouts consisted of cardio and weight training,” the source said.
On top of her diet and workout, Perry is also lucky to have Orlando Bloom’s support. In fact, the couple is committed to being healthy.
“He and Katy have really enjoyed working out together. It’s put a spark back in their love life, and she feels sexier than ever,” the source said.
Last month, the same tabloid claimed that Perry was still trying to get rid of her unwanted weight. And she’s determined to do so because she will soon tie the knot with Bloom.
“She’s now lost her last bit of baby weight – about 15 pounds, which gave her the confidence boost she needed to commit to her wedding dress. It’s a flowing white fairytale creation with beading and a slit to show some leg,” the source said.
But it seems the “Unconditionally” singer already achieved her goal weight. And it’s possible for her to be able to maintain it this time around if she’s committed to her diet and exercise.
However, no one knows for sure if the tabloid’s claims are accurate. After all, it’s possible for Perry to have gone through other measures to help her lose weight.
And it’s unclear if she really managed to lose 20 pounds within a month or it took her longer than that.
