Melania Trump, wife of Donald Trump, will reportedly be at Ivana Trump’s funeral. The case is said to be different, however, for Marla Maples, as well as her daughter, Tiffany Trump.
A source told OK! magazine that the former U.S. President’s second wife and daughter are “not invited” to the wake. This comes years after Ivana and Donald ended their marriage due to his affair with Maples.
The outlet learned exclusively from the insider that the family patriarch will be with his third and current wife, Melania, alongside his three children from his first marriage: Don Jr., Ivanka, and Eric. As for his youngest, Barron, however, the source is reportedly unsure whether he will be present.
The magazine later quoted the informant, saying, “This will all be about Donald [Trump].” Moreover, it will be a “major public relations opportunity for the family.”
The former U.S. President is reportedly “expected to speak” at the funeral. It also claimed that there will be a reception at Trump Tower.
In the end, the source insisted to the outlet that Ivana Trump, who passed away on Thursday, “would not have wanted it any other way.” It seemingly references the alleged non-invitation to Marla Maples and Tiffany Trump.
Following the claims, though, no official word has been heard yet from reps of all parties involved. Accordingly, the latest assertions are mere speculations about the upcoming funeral.
Ivana Trump died at the age of 73 due to an accidental fall per authorities. The sudden unfortunate event shocked the world earlier on Thursday, with reports noting that Donald Trump made the first announcement.
In the former leader’s official statement, he shared that his first wife “passed away at her home in New York City.” He also described her as a “wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life.”
The former pair’s three children also published an official statement regarding their mother's passing. E! News quoted the piece, wherein Ivana’s children called her “an incredible woman - a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty, and caring mother and friend.”
Meanwhile, Trump’s second wife, Marla Maples, and their daughter, Tiffany Trump, have not released any statement regarding the tragic event.
People, nevertheless, unearthed what the actress previously shared about her feelings toward Ivana Trump after saying she does not forgive her for having an affair with Donald Trump.
Speaking to the magazine in a 2016 interview, Marla Maples said she felt “sad” about the animosity between her and Ivana. She noted that she has “never had any intention of hurting her,” adding that she “loves her kids” [she is] close to at the time.
The publication later quoted Trump’s second wife, saying, “I wish her absolutely the best.” She continues, “I hope if she is holding any kind of resentment toward me, I really hope, for her sake, that she can forgive me and just love her life.”
