Prince William and Kate Middleton’s three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are officially done with school. This means they are free to travel with their parents during their two-month-long summer vacation.
Instagram user @royalfashionpolice uploaded a video of Prince William and Middleton with their kids and family dog Orla riding a helicopter. For the outing, the Duchess of Cambridge wore a white dress. Prince William, on the other hand, donned his signature blue suit and tie.
According to Hello! magazine, it’s unclear where Prince William and Middleton were headed. But they took the helicopter which could only mean that they are not traveling to a destination that was just nearby.
There are speculations that the family could be traveling to Anmer Hall, which is also one of their homes. After all, the Cambridges typically head to Anmer Hall every time they have the chance to do so.
However, the timing of the royal family’s trip could be questioned by critics. After all, the royal family’s spending during the past year garnered a slew of mixed reactions from royal fans and royal experts.
While speaking with Express, royal expert Richard Palmer claimed that Queen Elizabeth doesn’t support the Cambridge family’s travel arrangements. After all, she doesn’t want Prince William and Prince George – who are both heirs – to be on a helicopter together.
There are also reports that Prince William and Middleton traveled by helicopter a lot during the past year or so. And this contradicts what Prince Charles is trying to promote to save the environment.
“I think there was a little bit of official unhappiness about the amount of time that the Cambridges were spending traveling between Anmer Hall in Norfolk and Kensington Palace, their London residence, using helicopters. People in the Cambridges' camp would say actually that didn't happen very often at all. Other people seemed to imply that it was happening a bit more than the Queen wanted it to happen,” he said.
But with Prince William and Middleton’s upcoming move to Windsor, it’s highly likely for the couple and their children to take helicopters less and less. There are reports that the Cambridges are looking for a private house in Windsor so that they can be closer to Queen Elizabeth, who is already 96 years old.
