Tuesday’s Wimbledon match brought out the “fun and flirty side” of Kate Middleton and Prince William. This is the latest analysis of a body language expert, who observed what went down between the royal couple at the game.
Speaking to Express UK, Judi James said that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge showed some “subtle secret signaling” between them. She believes that these suggested “some mutual admiration” between the royal pair, who married more than a decade ago.
The publication quoted the expert, saying, “Whether it’s the sun, the strawberries, or the Center Court action, Wimbledon seems to bring out the fun and flirty side of [the Cambridge couple].”
James also added that Kate Middleton had “some hugely uninhibited and animated displays” while Prince William had “some suppressed, secretive smiling” during the game.
The body language pro later told the publication that the future King and Queen Consort appeared to have gotten “lost in the excitement of the match.” She argued, though, that while it looked natural for the latter to “gasp and gesticulate,” her husband “could be seen ‘joining in’ second as he ‘mirrored’ his wife’s attitude.”
Judi James also pointed out some of the royal pair’s “glances” at each other, as well as the subtle responses, which she deemed “telling” signs. She consequently noted that these “slightly bashful signals” appear to be the royal-born Prince’s tell, hinting at “some shared flirting and jokes between himself and [his wife].”
Meanwhile, a separate report from Express UK stated that Prince William appeared to have broken a royal protocol at Tuesday’s outing. This comes after many individuals believed he said a “swear word” at one point in the match.
As reported, a netizen spotted the said “blunder” from the Duke of Cambridge after as the camera focused in on him. In it, he appeared to be saying the “f-word,” causing many people to share their thoughts about the matter.
The outlet noted that the comments and reactions were mostly positive, with several individuals reportedly finding it “hilarious” and “fun.” It explained that these people revealed how they love seeing British Royals “making normal everyday mistakes.”
Kate Middleton and Prince William again made headlines the following day because of another display of affection.
Entertainment Tonight said that the former was “on hand to cheer” her husband at the Royal Polo Cup, which occurred in Windsor on Wednesday.
After the game, witnesses spotted the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge “hugging” each other. The former even planted a “big kiss” on the latter’s cheek, which is reportedly “rare” for the public to see from the royal pair.
