Vladimir Putin’s health has been at the center of speculations throughout the past couple of months. As such, every single thing he does is given a different meaning, especially by his critics.
Just recently, the Russian leader was recently photographed at a meeting with Russia’s top grain boss in Moscow.
Metro UK published a photo of Putin showing him holding on to the table that was in front of him. The publication claimed that the Russian ruler is “gripping the table too tightly” that’s why his veins look like they are about to pop out.
But upon closer inspection, Putin’s hands at the age of 69 have been quite veiny. And it was also evident that there was no pressure in his hands while he was holding the table.
The publication revealed that Putin’s controversial gripping of the table is just the latest in the string of rumors surrounding his health.
At one point, Putin was accused of undergoing a slew of surgeries due to an alleged health problem. Other publications also claimed that he’s battling cancer.
The speculations intensified after Putin was spotted allegedly shaking during an awards ceremony.
Erik Bucy, a body language expert, told The Sun that Putin doesn’t look 100 percent healthy.
“This is not a portrait of a healthy Putin but one appearing increasingly feeble and barely able to hold himself upright at a small conference table. Putin’s legs also appear quite thin, as if he may be suffering from weight or muscle loss from an unannounced malady. Bloating in his face reinforces an unhealthy appearance, especially compared to photographs and video of the Russian premiere from a few years ago,” Bucy said.
The Russian leader also made headlines this week after he was accused of almost falling asleep during an army meeting.
According to Daily Star, the puffiness of Putin’s face has also become quite alarming because this suggests that he could be undergoing chemotherapy.
Professor Angus Dalgleish of St. George’s University of London also thinks that Putin is on anabolic steroids that’s why he loses his temper easily.
However, it is important to note that Putin has not confirmed any health so it’s unclear if he’s really unhealthy or not. And by the looks of it, the Russian leader won’t divulge his health issues if he has any for fear of being criticized.
