Viewers who thought they’ve seen every member of the Kardashian clan are about to be introduced to yet another “family member” in the form of Kirby Jenner, Kendal Jenner’s “fraternal twin.”
As reported by Today, Kirby Jenner is Kendall’s “fraternal twin brother” who is also an aspiring model with an interest in rollerblading. He is set to star in a reality show named after him on the short form mobile streaming platform Quibi. The series is produced by his “mom” Kris and “twin” Kendall Jenner.
In the trailer provided for the show, almost all of the members of the Kardashian clan make an appearance. Kendall sits beside him in one of the sit-down interviews, while Kim declares that he is “the best-kept secret of our generation.”
But how exactly was Kirby kept secret all these years? As CNN, this is because Kirby is actually a 24-year-old performance artist that first made a splash with his parody Instagram account where he uploads Photoshopped images showing him acting as Kendall Jenner’s “fraternal twin brother.”
In the interview with CNN, “Kirby” refused to reveal his real name and stayed in character the whole time. According to “Kirby”, the idea for the whole show was greenlit by Kris Jenner. In a dig at Kris’s reputation as a “momager,” “Kirby” said his entire life is executive produced by Kris Jenner.
Giving viewers a tease about what they might see on the show, “Kirby” shares that he has argued with his “sisters” from time to time. He describes his “sister” Kim as “pretty scrappy,” while he describes the fights he has with his “fraternal twin” Kendall as “small and petty.”
This new Kardashian-produced show will hopefully prove a success for Quibi, as a number of streaming platforms have enjoyed growth in subscribers because of the lockdowns brought about by the global coronavirus pandemic.
Netflix, for instance, grew its paid subscriber base by 16 million subscribers as people turned to the streaming giant for entertainment while they are locked in their homes. The additional 16 million subscribers have swelled Netflix’s base to 187 million.
Another streaming platform to benefit from the coronavirus-induced lockdowns is Disney+, which managed to swell its number of paid subscribers to 50 million.
If the series proves successful, it will be another show that people can follow as it looks like the global coronavirus pandemic isn’t slowing down anytime soon and will require even more time spent indoors.
