Johnny Depp isn’t allegedly getting a shortage of upcoming projects.
A source told Star that the actor has been getting offers left and right to star in movies after winning his defamation case against Amber Heard.
“His reps are getting calls from producers and anchors all day. It’s a feeding frenzy,” the source said.
The insider also claimed that a lot of TV personalities are clamoring to interview Depp. And one of them is Savannah Guthrie, who interviewed Heard last month.
“It would be a coup for her to get both Amber and Johnny. But he’s pissed she gave Amber air time and let her spew negative stuff about him,” the source said.
Michael Strahan is allegedly trying to get Depp on Good Morning America. And Kelly Ripa wants the actor on her show, Live With Kelly and Ryan.
But for now, Depp is allegedly playing hard to get. Since he just got vindicated following Heard’s string of domestic violence claims, Depp allegedly wants to take his sweet time before returning to the small and big screens.
“If he does it, he wants the questions ahead of time so there are no surprises. And he wants their word they won’t give Amber any more airtime,” the source said.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. It’s obvious that this is just the tabloid’s way of pitting Depp and Heard against each other. After all, they suggested that those who will interview Depp should cut ties with Heard.
Additionally, the tabloid also claimed that Depp has not had a shortage of offers for projects. However, there’s no news about the actor signing up for an upcoming movie.
By the looks of it, Edward Scissorhands will indeed take his sweet time before he returns to filming.
During his interrogation, Depp also confirmed that he will no longer work with Disney.
The actor previously played the role of Jack Sparrow in The Pirates of the Caribbean but he was axed from the role following Heard’s domestic violence allegations.
And now that he was proven not guilty, Depp said that he’s no longer interested in working with Disney regardless of how much money the company would offer him.
As of writing, Disney has not responded to Depp’s claims.
