Sean Penn isn’t allegedly loveless after all!
According to National Enquirer, Penn, and his ex-wife, Leila George officially divorced. But there are rumors that the exes still see each other in private.
In fact, a source claimed that the exes have been hooking up in secret.
“It’s almost pitiful the way he pines for Leila. But the guy still loves her. He can’t help himself,’ the source said.
Last October, Penn, and George made headlines amid reports that the 30-year-old filed for divorce from the actor. Penn allegedly refused to have children that’s why their marriage ended after just one year.
But even though a couple of months have already passed, Penn still hasn’t allegedly gotten over George. And the latter is up for the hookups as well because her ex-husband spoils her with gifts.
“She’s not averse to no-strings-attached intimacy and has taken him up on the offer on a few occasions. But she’s not about to move back in with him. She clearly likes her freedom,” the source said.
However, the source said that Penn is secretly hoping that the hookups could lead to something more serious and permanent.
“Sean hopes these one-night trysts turn into something more, but he shouldn’t count on it. She doesn’t want to get caught up in this drama,” the source said.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. There’s no proof that Penn and George have been hooking up with each other in secret.
And even if the exes have been having late-night rendezvous, the tabloid stressed the fact that this is being done in secret. So, there’s no way for them to know all the details about the exes’ hookups.
Meanwhile, Penn also made headlines last month after he made a surprise appearance in Washington DC to attend the hearing of the Jan. 6 Capitol Riot committee.
When asked what he was doing there, Penn told CNN that he wanted to observe the hearing as an ordinary citizen.
“I think we all saw what happened on January 6 and now we're looking to see if justice comes on the other side of it,” he said.
Penn also traveled to Ukraine last year to take part in a documentary about the conflict between the country and Russia. He also recently showed President Zelensky his support.
