Jennifer Lopez is accused of being a diva. During a recent interview, Dannii Minogue detailed her encounter with The Hustlers star.

According to Minogue, Lopez threatened to cancel her performance on Top of the Pops in the 90s if her outrageous demands wouldn’t be met.

Minogue claimed that Lopez asked the bosses of the show to make sure that her entire stage would be in white hue otherwise she won’t push through with her performance.

“And while you hear those diva stories, there is one I can actually vouch for. I was at Top of the Pops and was told Jennifer Lopez was on her way, but she refused to perform unless her backstage room was redecorated. I was told everything had to be white, including the sofa. I asked to go in and see the room as she wasn’t there at that moment… I was lapping up every detail,” she said (via Meaww). 

Minogue said that she couldn’t believe Lopez’s outrageous request especially since she knows that the singer would be covered in body makeup. So, it wouldn’t make sense for her to sit on a white couch because she would stain it.

Prior to her revelations, the mom of two was also accused of being a diva after a teaser for her Netflix documentary, Halftime was released. The clip revealed that Lopez didn’t support the idea of performing alongside Shakira at the Super Bowl.

However, watching the docuseries made Lopez’s fans understand that her statements were taken out of context. After all, she made it clear that she didn’t have any problem sharing the stage with Shakira. Rather, she was upset that her time to perform was cut short.

Lopez also refused to follow the orders of the NFL when they asked her team to take down the cage that she used as a prop. Since the request was made at the last minute, the singer-actress decided to still use it during her performance.

In the end, Lopez was praised for her performance at the Super Bowl. Her 14-year-old daughter, Emme Muniz also received countless positive comments from fans. The youngster shared the stage with her mom at the sports event.

As of writing, Lopez has other projects in the works. But she’s also busy preparing for her upcoming wedding to Ben Affleck.
