Amber Heard has taken charge to break her silence for the first time since the trial. She has sat down for a tell-all interview, and the promos are now making headlines.
Geo News shared that Johnny Depp’s former wife not only took a swipe at the verdict but also opened up about her thoughts on the “hate and vitriol” she faced during the six-week trial.
It is said that the tell-all interview with TODAY will drop on Friday at 8 p.m., ET.
Following the release of the teaser materials, a source told Entertainment Tonight that this is just the beginning of the actress’s “carefully planned comeback.”
Amber Heard was reportedly “waiting a bit before speaking out about the trial.” She is said to have waited “until she felt ready” and “it was a good time” to share her truth.
The same insider told the publication that the “Paranoia” actress’s team “advised” her to “lay low and take time for herself for a couple of weeks.” She was urged to “see how she felt and take care of herself.”
With the arrival of Heard’s tell-all, it is claimed that she “is feeling more optimistic now.” It is also noted that “she is confident that her side will come out eventually,” adding that “she has a plan and strategy to make a comeback over the next year.”
The source’s allegations come about a week after a different insider told Entertainment Tonight that Amber Heard was “not in a good place” following Johnny Depp’s win. She was claimed to be “worried in general and financially speaking.”
Despite the worries, the “Aquaman” actress was reportedly “planning to appeal the court’s decision.” She was also said to be feeling “very alone” as if “she lost a lot of friends.”
The same informant continued that Heard was “sad that people she hoped would support her, didn’t.”
With regard to her plans for the future at the time, the 36-year-old celebrity reportedly intended to “focus on being a mom, spend quality time with her daughter, and stay out of the limelight.” It was noted, as well, that she was “going to try not to do anything publicly for a while.”
Nevertheless, the actress was “hopeful that after some time passes, she can slowly build her career back.”
Amber Heard and Johnny Depp faced another legal battle that ran for six weeks and concluded on June 1. The actor won the defamation suit he filed against his former wife after a jury found that she defamed her former husband on all three accounts.
The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star was awarded $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages. Although, the latter was reduced to $350,000 in accordance with the state’s statutory cap.
