Some royal watchers believed that Meghan Markle was once “told off” by Prince Harry during an official event. This came after the former actress was reportedly seen making a potential “mistake” amid the formal ceremony.
Express UK reported that the event in question was the Trooping the Colour in 2019. It marked the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s final appearance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
In the videos taken from the day, the royal-born Prince was said to be “looking backwards” to speak to his wife off camera. The former actress then turned around, causing her husband to utter words before turning her head to the front.
The clips did not capture what Prince Harry told Meghan Markle. But, a lip reader expert claimed that he asked her to “turn around” at the time.
Expert Tina Lannin reportedly confirmed the matter to the publication. She stated that the royal-born Prince’s exact words were: “No he hasn’t. Oh fine. Turn around.”
No one could confirm whether this was what the Duke of Sussex told the Duchess of Sussex during the Trooping the Colour in 2019. Even so, royal watchers and followers were said to have discussed the matter on social media, sharing that he was “telling Meghan off.”
Many seemingly believed that this was the case at the time. However, the publication pointed out that it is possible the youngest Wales prince was only helping his wife out during the event.
The recent reports about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, involving their previous Trooping the Colour appearance, comes as they had just attended this year’s official birthday parade of Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday. Several photos have surfaced across media platforms, showing the former working royals in Buckingham Palace alongside other members of the British Royal Family.
People shared some of the images, wherein the Duchess of Sussex spends time with the younger royals. As stated, she “playfully” entertains her nieces from the Duke of Sussex’s cousins, Zara Tindall and Peter Phillips.
The Sussexes were at the Major General’s Office during this year’s Trooping the Colour. They were with the other members of the family as only official working royals were with the British Monarch on the balcony of the palace.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle arrived in the United Kingdom Wednesday to join the Platinum Jubilee celebrations. They flew from the United States alongside their two children, with their youngest celebrating her first birthday on Saturday.
Reports said that they are currently staying in Frogmore Cottage. The Windsor estate remains their official residence in the U.K. as they live their lives in the Duchess of Sussex’s home country.
