Jack Brooksbank and Princess Eugenie have found a new home in CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club in Lisbon. The pair reportedly moved out of Frogmore Cottage, alongside their first-born son.
News AU reported that the parents of one intend to split their time between London and Portugal. This comes after the royal-born Princess’s husband landed a new job with a multi-millionaire property tycoon, per the Daily Mirror.
As noted, Brooksbank is working in sales and marketing at the new venture, which Mike Meldman owns. A source also reportedly claimed that the new chapter in the family’s life is a “very exciting time.”
Express UK released a report earlier, detailing the “shocking” move. As stated, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank have spent the last month settling into their new home after moving out of Frogmore Cottage.
The pair’s departure from the estate comes ahead of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s return to the United Kingdom. Royal followers would recall that the property remains the Sussex couple’s main residence in the country.
A different insider reiterated to the publication that Brooksbank plans to spend some time between London and Portugal. As for the Princess of York, she will reportedly want to be with her husband.
It is reportedly not clear, however, how the youngest York princess would “juggle her work” as the associate director of Hauser & Wirth. Nevertheless, she and her husband, along with their son, are said to be returning to the U.K. sometime this week for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
People revealed that this was not the first time Princess Eugenie lived outside her home country. A few years ago, she spent two years living in New York City while working at an online auction house, Paddle8.
Similar to her younger sister, Princess Beatrice also previously split her time between London and New York.
The youngest York princess and her husband previously resided in Ivy Cottage at the grounds of Kensington Palace. They only relocated to Frogmore Cottage months after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry left their posts in 2020.
Speaking to People at the time, a spokesperson from Buckingham Palace stated that the property is a “private residence” of the Sussex couple. Accordingly, “any arrangement is a matter for them.”
An insider consequently told the magazine that while it remains the former working royals’ home in the United Kingdom, “they [were] happy for it to be occupied” by Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, who were then expecting their first child.
