Kate Middleton has caught the eyes of the public during her attendance at a garden party in Buckingham Palace. This comes as reports believe that she paid tribute to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ahead of the pair’s return to the United Kingdom.
Express UK reported that the future Queen Consort donned a mint green fascinator from Philip Treacy for the event. It features a large floral applique on one side, seemingly identical to what she wore at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s wedding in 2018.
Due to the similarities with the designs, the publication asserted that the Duchess of Cambridge might have worn the piece in honor of her brother-in-law and sister-in-law days before they arrived in the country.
However, netizens do not seemingly agree with the speculation. In the comment section of the report, a few individuals shared their thoughts and argued that it was not the case at all.
One commenter stated that it is “rubbish” because wearing a similar hat does not mean paying a tribute.
Another netizen, on the other hand, pointed out that Kate Middleton “looked lovely then just as she did” in her latest engagements, “and always does.” But, it is said to be unlikely that she was paying tribute as she “has too much class for that.”
A different individual echoed the other comments and emphasized that the Duchess of Cambridge wore the piece because she “probably likes it and it suits her well.” But, donning it as a tribute is not likely as she “did not give [Meghan] Markle a second thought.”
Meanwhile, a royal expert believes that the upcoming reunion among Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and the rest of the British Royal Family will be “stressful,” according to Geo News. As claimed, the royals, especially Kate Middleton and Prince William, will be “very stressed” as they feel the Sussexes have “badly let down” the family.
Angela Levin made the claims during a recent engagement with the Daily Mail. She thinks that the upcoming service at St. Paul’s Cathedral will be “just as frosty as the Commonwealth Service in 2020.”
The expert, later on, added that the royal siblings “will look serious,” while the former actress’s “Hollywood smile will be fixed.”
Many believe that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will attend the St. Paul service event during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations. But, there are no confirmations yet about the matter.
What is certain, though, is that Prince William and Kate Middleton will be present at almost all events during the historic celebrations.
